Privacy Policy

Draft for legal review. This policy is a working draft and will be reviewed by our attorney.
Who we are
Who Wants Pizza? (whowantspizza.com) is a pizza finder run by Equinet Inc. Questions about privacy? Email [email protected].
What we collect, and why
- Sign-ups. When you join the OG Pizza Night waitlist, ask to be notified (Pizza for elders, the contest, Slice Club or VIP), sign up for The Weekly Slice, join the OG Crew waitlist or claim a spot, we get what you type: usually your email and first name, plus the choices in that form. We use it only for what you signed up for.
- Messages. Support messages, suggestions, feedback, event alerts and senior-center suggestions: we get what you type and your email if you give it, so we can reply.
- These are sent to us by email through Web3Forms, our form service, which keeps a copy for a limited time under its own privacy policy.
Pizza Bestie and your voice
- When you tap Talk, your phone or browser turns your speech into text. Depending on your device, Apple or Google may process the audio to do that, under their own policies. We never get or save a recording.
- Pizza Bestie reads answers out loud using your device's built-in voice.
- Questions Pizza Bestie can't answer from our own checked spot list are sent, as text with the last few messages of your chat, to Google's Gemini AI through our server. We don't send your name, email or location with them, and we don't keep them.
Your location
If you allow location, your phone tells the app where you are so it can show the closest spots and their distance. That happens on your phone; we don't receive or save your location. To list more pizza places, the app loads a small map file for the general area (about 30 miles across) from our site. The file's name shows only that general area, and we don't link it to you.
Pizza places from OpenStreetMap
Places marked "OpenStreetMap · not checked yet" come from OpenStreetMap, a free public map (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL). We haven't checked their price, hours or details, so call before you go.
Saved only on your phone
Your pizza avatar, the email you last used, your slice ratings, your account details (name, town, favorite styles), your pizza log and your settings are kept in your browser's storage. We can't see them. Clear them anytime with Me › Clear my data or in your browser settings.
Payments
If you pay for something on Who Wants Pizza?, the payment is handled by Stripe on its own secure checkout page. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe shares with us your name, email, what you bought and the amount, so we can give you what you paid for.
Hosting and analytics
Cloudflare hosts this site and processes standard web request data (like IP address and browser type) to serve and protect it. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't track you across other sites.
Services we use
- Cloudflare hosts the site, runs Pizza Bestie's server, and provides our privacy-first visit counts.
- Web3Forms delivers form sign-ups to our inbox by email.
- Microsoft 365 (through GoDaddy) runs our inbox, [email protected], where your messages arrive.
- Google Gemini writes Pizza Bestie's answers to open questions, when that feature is on.
- OpenStreetMap data shows pizza places we haven't checked yet. It's stored on our own site, so your phone doesn't contact OpenStreetMap.
- cdnjs (run by Cloudflare) supplies the code that draws the Share QR code.
- Apple or Google may process your voice on your device when you tap Talk, under their own policies.
- Stripe will handle payments when memberships open, and an email service (Mailchimp) will send confirmation and reminder emails when we add it. We'll update this page first.
Links to other sites
Maps, phone, restaurant, ticket, event and store links open other sites and apps with their own privacy policies. Some Shop links are affiliate links: we may earn a small commission, your price stays the same, and they are always labeled.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your personal information.
- We don't make up hours, prices, ratings or reviews.
- Who Wants Pizza? is not meant for children under 13. OG Pizza Night is for people 18 and older.
Pizza for elders
We ask each senior center about diets and allergies first, and we never post photos of anyone without their permission.
Your choices
Want to see or delete what we have about you, like your email? Write to [email protected]. You can also unsubscribe from any email we send.
Changes
If this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
